Watching at all those energy drinks ads for tired Americans on TV, I conclude that all people have that lack of energy, even me. Suffering for my whole family and me is even greater when you run season of colds and flu. Then we are obsessed with solving the problem – germ phobia.

However, given some disturbing new information about the effect of sugar on human health, the conclusion is that we have bigger problems than the obvious. According to the expert’s researches, many Americans are full of fat and suffer from various diseases.

Statistics says:

One of three Americans is overweight or obese. One of seven Americans suffer from metabolic syndrome. The number of people with diabetes is steadily increasing.Cardiovascular diseases are extremely widespread.

According to the researches, we can responsibly say that this happens because of the presence of a toxic substance in our diet – the sugar.

From a Crazy Idea to Reality

To confirm this view, scientists ask themselves: How hard would be a family to throw out the sugar from their diet for a year? Based on this experiment, they started a family (2 adults and 2 children).

This family stopped using any kind of sugar, even sweeteners, honey, molasses, maple syrup, agave or fruit juice. Sugar intake was limited to that sweetness that you get from a piece of fruit. Moreover, they excluded the sugary products such as tortillas, sausages, chicken broth, salad dressing, cold cuts, crackers, mayonnaise, bacon, bread and even baby food. They all contain sugar.

It sounds unusual. First, the idea to change one’s lifestyle is a little crazy and strange. However, curiosity to do so and to follow its course is more realistic, if thus improve the overall health of the family. With the exclusion of sugar they felt better day by day.

One Year after Sugar-Free Diet

The result showed that you have more energy and feel much better without the sugar intake.

This family, during the one year of the experiment, do the following:

Because they were on a diet without sugar, they were allowed to consume sugar in the form of dessert one day a month. Those were the days as a birthday or a special celebration. However, after a full year without sugar, their palates were changed and their sense of taste was completely reduced. They do not enjoy their desserts as always. Their needs were completely changed.

For example, enjoyment was reduced while they ate their favorite multi-layered banana cream pie. The pain of teeth appeared because of the sweet taste of the dessert. Their heads began to pound and hearts to race. The adults said: “We felt terrible. “No more sugar – always made us feel bad. How we could have never before noticed that?”

After a year passed without sugar, other conclusions were stunning. There were dramatic improvements in their health. Children did not miss school due to illness anymore. If they missed 15 days a year, now they reduced it to two absences.
Now they have a different diet. They use sugar in smaller amounts and consume it in desserts for special occasions only. In return, the body thanks with increased energy, greater vitality and resistance in seasons of colds and flu. The conclusion is – Life without sugar makes us healthier and stronger…
