What is the #1 Anti-inflammatory Food?

Have you ever looked at the back of your shirt before putting it on to notice that there’s a small loop where the pleat meets the yoke? Do you know why it stands there?

You have probably checked your shirt by now, right? Well, that loop is there for a reason. In the past, when there were no wardrobes, people used these loops to hang their shirts. In this way, they were preventing wrinkles on their shirt.

The trend began in the 1960s with the U.S. Oxford buttondown shirts and continued with the Ivy League. The manufacturers named this part of the shirt as the “Locker Loop”, but later it was also called as fruit loop and fairy loop.

Girls used to pull this fairy loop of the guys they like, and sometimes this caused ripping of the shirt. So, a lot of men started removing it the moment they bought the shirt.

Other brands also followed this trend, and some of them have saved this unique characteristic of shirts even today.

However, with the appearance of wardrobes, these fruit loops have no other purpose than to serve as a decorative design.

Luckily, there’s no more yanking today.
