Headaches are one of the most common health problems nowadays, whether they happen occasionally or repeatedly. Although the first thing that you might do when trying to relieve your annoying headache is taking another pain killer, you should know that there are natural ways that will get you the same effects, but without the side effects of medications.

Here, you’ll learn how to prepare three natural remedies that will effectively relieve your headache in an instant.

Put the Shea nut oil, beeswax pastilles and grapeseed oil in a double boiler and melt over medium heat. Once they combine well, remove from heat and add the essential oils. Mix well, and store into a small container. Cover with a lid, and let the balm cool and solidify before use.

2. Magnesium Oil Headache Balm

This balm is not only helpful in relieving headaches, but thanks to the included magnesium it can also relieve migraines. Put the olive oil and beeswax in a double broiler and melt over lower heat. Remove from heat and add the castor oil, magnesium, and essential oils. Use a fork to whip the mixture, and then store it in a small glass jar with a lid. Keep the jar in the fridge for half an hour until the mixture sets.

3. Headache Balm with Essential Oils

20 drops of peppermint essential oil1/4 cup of coconut oil10 drops of Frankincense essential oil12 drops of lavender essential oil

Pour the coconut oil in a double broiler and melt it over medium heat. Set it aside and add the rest of the oil. Store in a container and let it cool for around 60 minutes before putting the lid on.

It’s good to keep some of these natural balms in your purse, pocket, nightstand, glove compartment, or any other easily accessible place, especially if you have constant headaches.

The moment you feel the first symptom of headache, just take some of your natural balm and gently massage the back of your neck, your temples, and the pressure point between the forefinger and the thumb, using your fingers. Relax for a minute by closing your eyes and taking deep breaths. You’ll be amazed how quickly your headache will disappear.
