Onion VS Pineapple?
What is the #1 Anti-inflammatory Food?
There are many reasons why you should grow cilantro indoors. Cilantro (coriander) is an herb that tastes nice, but it also connects to heavy metals and helps the body get rid of them.
Many experts consider this herb to be one of the most efficient and safest detoxifiers of toxins (especially heavy metals).
It is especially helpful when it comes to cleansing mercury from the internal organs in the body.
There is some evidence that cilantro can go across the boundary between blood and the brain and detoxify the brain from heavy metals.
Cilantro contains high levels of vitamins K, A and many minerals such as manganese, potassium, calcium, and magnesium.
Many studies have confirmed that this herb has strong antifungal, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties and it can ease the symptoms of infections and inflammations because toxins that build up in our system are one of the reasons for their occurrence. A few months ago, a research team from the All India Institute of Medical Science located in New Delhi has used an antigen solution and injected it into the paws of rats. The results were clear – they got swellings and inflammations that are very similar to the ones found in patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis.
Growing Cilantro Indoors
Use at least eight inches of soil in a pot.Find a potting soil that is able to drain fast and put it in the pot. Mix it in a whole granular fertilizer.Make sure that the soil is moistened by using a spray from the hose. Do this before seeding. Keep in mind that the seeds are very small and that’s why you need to make a mixture with sand in a bowl (3:1 sand: seed ratio). In this way, the seeds will be scattered all over the soil. You should place the seed right under the surface of the soil and disperse them on the top of the soil. Use an additional layer of soil, ¼ inches thick.Add some moisture to the soil in order to be sure that the seeds will stay in their place.Cilantro grows fast if it is exposed to the sun, so place it next to a window. The seeds will begin to grow in about a week. Finally, cut about 2/3 of the leaves every week in order to accelerate the plant’s growth. In this way, you will get up to four crops from one pot.
